Árstíðir kommen mit ihrem besonderen Weihnachtsevent
zurück auf die Bühnen Europas!
Letztes Jahr konnten Fans der isländischen Künstler von
Árstíðir deren Set in intimer Atmosphäre, eine Mischung aus isländischen und
nordischen Weihnachtsliedern, erleben. Diese Tradition, die schon 2008 in
Island begann, kommt nun zurück auf die Bühnen Europas. Árstíðir haben schon
das ein oder andere beschäftigte Jahr hinter sich. Nach der Veröffentlichung
ihres aktuellsten Albums, Nivalis, tourten sie als Support für Sólstafir.
Gleich darauf folgte die Tour zur Nivalis-Veröffentlichung, welches nun den
Preis für das beste Indie/Alt.Rock Album bei den 17. IndependentMusicAwards
gewonnen hat.
Die kommende Tour, welche die Band quer durch Europa
bringt, fängt Ende November an und wird bis kurz vor Weihnachten andauern.

Árstíðir kommentiert: „Seit 2008 spielen wir in Island
jedes Jahr unsere besonderen Weihnachtsevents im Dezember. Wir kombinieren
unsere Musik mit isländischen und nordischen Weihnachtsliedern und arrangieren
sie speziell für diesen Anlass. Das Lied, das die meisten unserer Zuhörer
kennen ist unsere Version der isländischen Hymne „Heyr, himna smiður“, welche
ein Höhepunkt unserer Konzerte ist. Diese Konzerte sind bei unseren Fans zu
Hause und im Ausland eine geliebte Tradition geworden, für die sie bis nach
Reykjavík reisen. Nun bringen wir die Show im Dezember auf Reisen um ganz
Europa in diese Tradition einzuschließen.
Wir laden euch alle herzlich zu einem Abend voller Musik,
nordischer Sagen und Geschichten ein.
